The Boston Athletic Association (BAA) has announced that registration for the 128th Boston Marathon will commence on Monday, September 11, 2023. The deadline for registration is September 15, 2023. The race will take place on Monday, April 15, 2024.
Qualifying runners are eligible to register this week to secure one of the 30,000 available participant slots for the 127th Boston Marathon. Additional registration for non-qualifying runners will commence on Wednesday, November 1. Any qualifying times must be achieved between September 11, 2022, and September 10, 2023.
The BAA emphasizes the importance of the Registration Protection program. This program provides a refund or credit for registered runners who are unable to participate due to certain unforeseen circumstances, such as injury or illness.
